Override Admin password on 10.6.8 please? Second hand Mac Mini with no link to history (Bought, not stolen!!)

Hi, I have bought a third? hand Mac mini from ebay, OS 10.6.8. 2006-ish, poss 2009. Original owner not known, vendor doesn't know the admin password. I need to override it to install Windows 8.1 from Boot Camp please.

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Boot from install DVD and format HD an reinstall the OS.

You can purchase the Snow Leopard install DVD here if necessary

When you get the lion download you still need the password it is no help to buy it!
